Hi! I’m Travis Green, the owner and lead designer behind Squeak Balloon & Decor in Ankeny, Iowa. You may have seen our balloon installations, lighted marquee letters, or larger-than-life sculptures around the Des Moines metro. Today, I want to introduce the family behind the business—and share a little about what we love to create.
My wife, Mindy, and I are raising our two children, Hadley and Hudson, while running creative businesses rooted right here in our community. Our life includes balloons, flowers, family time, and cheering on the Cyclones!
A Creative Family in Ankeny
I started Squeak Balloon & Decor in 2020. With a background in graphic design, I love working with color, shape, and scale to bring an idea to life. Balloons give me a way to take those design skills off the screen and build something people can walk up to, stand underneath, and enjoy together.
Mindy owns Carmen’s Flowers Uptown in Ankeny and also helps with Squeak. Flowers are her creative world, and balloons are mine. When an event calls for both, we can help bring those details together.
Hadley and Hudson are a big part of the family behind it all. Running small businesses while raising a family keeps life full, and we’re grateful for the chance to build something our kids can watch grow.

Some events need a polished display in company colors. Others call for a playful sculpture, a bold entrance, or a holiday installation. I especially enjoy the projects that start with, “Could you build something like this?”
From Company Milestones to Family Celebrations
For our corporate clients, we help create décor that fits the brand, the venue, and the purpose of the event. That might mean celebrating a company milestone, welcoming employees to a holiday party, or helping a new business make an entrance on opening day.
For private celebrations, we bring that same attention to birthdays, graduations, baby showers, and other meaningful occasions.
