Santa Backdrops in Des Moines: Create a Holiday Photo Moment Worth Remembering

You bring Santa. We create the setting.

A visit with Santa deserves a space that feels like Christmas before the first family steps into the picture. A thoughtfully designed backdrop gives your event a focal point and creates a festive setting for the photos guests take home.

Squeak Balloon & Decor designs custom Santa backdrops and balloon installations for company family parties, retail events, breakfast with Santa, and community celebrations throughout Des Moines, Ankeny, and Central Iowa.

Christmas sparkle: shimmer, metallic balloons, and a statement chair

Silver and gold balloons paired with a shimmer wall create a sparkling frame around Santa’s seating area. Red accents bring warmth to the design and connect the scene to a traditional Christmas palette. The result can feel playful for children and polished enough for a company holiday celebration.

Winter wonderland: snowflakes and a wall of balloons

White and icy blue balloons create a snowy setting, with oversized snowflake accents adding detail above and around Santa. A full balloon wall helps fill the camera frame, while coordinated side accents give the scene depth. Red can be added for a cheerful Christmas finish.

Santa’s workshop: make the arrival part of the experience

A balloon arch can mark the entrance to Santa’s area and carry the color palette through the space. Traditional red and green work beautifully, but softer greens, ivory, and coral offer another festive direction. Oversized balloon ornaments and presents can add playful details around a workshop backdrop.

Plan for the people in the picture

The best Santa setup starts with how it will be used. Will children visit one at a time, or will whole families join Santa? Will a photographer be taking pictures, or will guests use their phones? We plan the balloon placement around the seating, photo angle, and room available.

Leave room for families to approach and exit, a clear route for guests using mobility devices, and enough distance for the photographer. A venue photo and basic measurements help us recommend a backdrop that fits the space.

What affects the investment?

Each Santa backdrop is quoted around its size, balloon coverage, backdrop materials, custom details, delivery, installation, and any requested removal. Let us know whether your venue or Santa provider is supplying the chair and other furnishings so your proposal clearly identifies what is included.
